A game-changer for efficiency, reliability and client satisfaction

A game-changer for efficiency, reliability and client satisfaction

Digital marketing agency, iSynergy, is based in Ohio and works with clients on rebranding, websites and content. To ensure 100% website uptime for their clients, it worked with Cloudways, its trusted website hosting partner. Michaela Good, Executive Vice President at iSynergy, discusses the partnership and how Cloudways has helped iSynergy overcome many challenges.

What if success in tech wasn’t about having all the answers, but about never stopping the search for the right answers? Meet iSynergy, a digital agency where curiosity fuels growth, AI meets human curiosity and every challenge is a chance to apply what’s been learnt so far.

At its helm is Michaela Good, a leader who turned childhood tech tricks into a career of breaking down complex problems with creative solutions. But how does a team stay ahead in a world that changes daily? Behind the scenes lies a small yet mighty technology team keeping client websites running 24/7 with little fuss and no drama. Their secret? Embracing the unpredictable, one bold client partnership at a time.

From typing games to tech leadership

Good’s journey into technology was practically written in her DNA. Growing up in a household immersed in IT – her father being a network manager and cousins working in tech – Good was surrounded by the hum of hard drives and the curiosity of code.

Her high school years brought more hands-on experience, thanks to a supportive environment and a struggling economy that pushed her to help with technical support for the school. “This gave me invaluable hands-on experience at a young age – an opportunity most students don’t typically have,” Good said.

After earning her degree in Computer Science from Slippery Rock University in 2010, Good joined iSynergy as an IT Manager straight out of college. What followed was a steady climb through the company’s ranks – from Project Manager to Operations Manager and now, as Executive Vice President.

“I manage accounts receivable and payable, oversee company administration and serve as our lead website developer,” Good said. “My diverse experience reflects my passion for technology, problem-solving and organisational excellence.”

Philosophy of ‘permanent beta’

At the heart of iSynergy is a philosophy that resonates deeply with Good – permanent beta. “We are always evolving and continuously learning,” she said. “This mindset mirrors how I approach life – I thrive on growth, love to learn and am not one to sit still.”

That energy is reflected in the agency’s willingness to experiment. She said: “At iSynergy, we’re not afraid to take on new clients or explore new verticals. Sometimes we succeed and sometimes we fail – but failure isn’t always a bad thing. It means we weren’t afraid to try something new.”

It’s an approach that contributes to resilience and agility, qualities that have made the agency a reliable partner to digital businesses. By joining the Agency Partner Programme, agencies can strengthen this foundation with exclusive benefits, enhanced support and scalable solutions tailored to help them grow sustainably.

Building brands, solving problems

As a strategic digital growth partner, iSynergy takes pride in aligning its efforts with client goals. “We succeed when our clients succeed,” Good said. That philosophy is embodied in a performance-based model that keeps the agency accountable and focused on delivering measurable outcomes.

Their work spans a wide spectrum: from helping start-ups launch SEO-optimised websites to supporting established brands with navigating the modern advertising landscape. “Our full video production studio allows us to produce high-quality videos tailored to showcase their brand,” Good said. “It provides a dynamic and engaging way to connect with their audience that aligns to how audiences prefer to consume content today.”

However, such intimate involvement with client businesses also comes with challenges. “Being a growth partner means our success is directly tied to our client’s success – but it also means we can face challenges when our clients struggle,” Michaela said. Whether it’s poor in-store practices or weak product-market fit, both sides must contribute to the partnership for it to succeed and thrive.

Cloudways as a trusted partner

Technology is nothing without reliability, and that’s where Cloudways comes in. “Cloudways is our trusted website hosting partner, ensuring the 100% uptime our clients require,” Good said.

This dependability is especially crucial for their e-commerce clients. “If their website isn’t up, they can’t sell. It’s that simple.” And when issues arise, Cloudways’ support shines. “Their knowledge is exceptional and they never cease to amaze me with their ability to solve complex challenges.”

One notable milestone was the transition of one of their largest clients to an autonomous set-up on Cloudways. Previously, traffic surges had to be managed manually – often at the cost of team members’ family time.

“With Cloudways Autonomous, the server now scales up and down as needed and we’re only charged for what we use. It’s been a game-changer for efficiency, reliability and client satisfaction,” she added.

AI: A tool, not a replacement

Good and her team are keenly aware of the transformative potential of AI for Agencies, but they approach it with nuance. “We leverage AI in many forms – research, content creation, digital development and data analytics,” she said. “While AI has proven to be a powerful tool, we’ve learned that it’s not perfect and still requires a human touch.”

Rather than replacing creativity, AI enhances it, surfacing patterns and insights that sharpen iSynergy’s strategy and execution.

Looking ahead, Good envisions further integration of AI into everyday workflows. “AI-driven alerts would not only save time but also ensure that we catch problems as soon as they arise, allowing us to address them before they escalate,” she said, referencing the management of over 200 client websites.

Building relationships that last

What sets iSynergy apart isn’t just technology – it’s the relationships. “Many of our clients feel like extended family at this point,” Good said. “Some of our team members even travel with clients to trade shows and productions.”

While it’s sometimes difficult to say goodbye to clients who don’t align with this collaborative spirit, Good is clear about her vision: “Our true goal is to focus on building stronger, more meaningful relationships with those who value and foster this kind of collaboration.”

These connections, she believes, are the foundation for impactful work.

Vision for the future

iSynergy’s future hinges on adaptability. Good envisions Cloudways playing bigger roles in efficiency and innovation. “I would love to see additional integrations with other platforms, like SnapShooter for extended back-ups beyond two weeks, directly within the Cloudways Platform.”

She’s also enthusiastic about Cloudways’ role in democratising access to AI tools. “Cloudways seems to employ the best of the best and is constantly growing – if anyone is going to stay ahead of the curve, it’s them,” Good said.

As for iSynergy? “We’ll keep evolving,” Good said. “Permanent beta isn’t just a motto – it’s how we thrive.”
