ITCAB gains 10-day efficiency boost with Fluke Networks tools

Fluke Networks, a worldwide leader in certification, troubleshooting and installation tools for critical network cabling infrastructure, has enabled French start-up, ITCAB, to save up to 10 days’ worth of technician time on large-scale projects using its advanced test solutions.  Corentin Cunat, Founder and Co-CEO at ITCAB, discusses how ITCAB relies on the accurate and reliable test equipment from Fluke Networks to ensure consistent network performance for customers .

Founded in 2022, ITCAB is a fast-growing company specialising in the design and deployment of low-voltage cabling, providing copper and fibre optic cabling across a wide range of sectors. From defence and healthcare to data centres and logistics, the design and maintenance of its customers’ IT networks demands precision, efficiency and reliability. Underpinning this is a set of stringent regulatory standards that the network cabling industry must adhere to. ITCAB requires the correct tools to ensure it meets the necessary compliance needs of its customers.

To uphold these standards from the outset, ITCAB chose to work with Fluke Networks to ensure that every network cabling installation completed is as durable and qualitative as possible with state-of-the-art measuring tools. The founders were familiar with Fluke Networks from earlier in their careers and were keen to continue working with tools that they knew they could trust.

Today, ITCAB’s technicians utilise four pieces of Fluke Networks equipment:

  • DSX-5000 CableAnalyzer for RJ45 twisted pair infrastructures – enables technicians to carry out any required measurements in the field and anticipate potential compliance issues before they arise
  • OptiFiber Pro reflectometer for fibre optic networks – helps technicians to work more efficiently using automated configuration, expert mode and detailed event mapping
  • CertiFiber Pro bi-directional duplex photometry solution – simplifies the certification process for fibre optic networks by performing efficient and accurate tests in data centres, LANs, WANs and telecom networks
  • MultiFiber Pro – intervenes on high-density fibre optic trunk infrastructures with MTP connectors

For ITCAB, one of the biggest strengths is Fluke Networks’ reliability. Consistent, accurate results are essential for assessing network performance. In addition, intuitive user interfaces simplify the measurement process, while LinkWare reporting software streamlines data collection and analysis. Technicians can easily retrieve diagnostic data, perform detailed searches and generate comprehensive reports which can be shared with technical teams and customers as required.

With Fluke Networks equipment, ITCAB saves an average of 15-30 seconds per test, which for projects requiring up to 10,000 tests represents around 10 days’ work saved for one technician.

“It’s extremely efficient – being able to make the right decisions at the right time can really speed up our work,” said Corentin Cunat, Founder and Co-CEO of ITCAB. “If we had chosen other products, we would have had many more tasks to manage, which would have slowed down the whole process and increased costs.”

“With rising demand for bandwidth and the constant evolution of technology, efficient testing, certification and troubleshooting tools have a measurable impact on productivity and customer trust,” said Nigel Hedges, Application and Technical Specialist at Fluke Networks. “Our solutions provide end-to-end visibility across copper, fibre and active networks, empowering teams to streamline workflows, simplify compliance and deliver better business outcomes. In today’s competitive landscape, investing in the right tools isn’t about keeping up – it’s about staying ahead.”

With ITCAB’s rapid growth, the demand for advanced testing equipment will only increase. To continue meeting customer expectations and stay ahead of evolving industry regulations, ITCAB is expanding its fleet of Fluke Networks devices, ensuring it remains at the forefront of network testing solutions.

“ITCAB significantly reduced time spent on documentation and troubleshooting, leading to better performance and higher customer satisfaction across multiple high-profile projects. This is the perfect example of how businesses can achieve more efficiency through smarter testing,” said Hedges.

Cunat spoke to Intelligent SME.tech about the partnership:

How do you see ITCAB standing out in a competitive cabling and infrastructure market?

We believe our company stands out from our peers and competitors in several ways:

  • Our ability to make a difference through attention to detail. Like any company that aims to be a true specialist, our capacity for continuous training and staying informed is crucial for showcasing our technical expertise and supporting our customers in their most complex projects
  • The use of tools suited our performance and precision needs in every daily task. The use of Fluke Networks equipment is proof of that
  • A strong sense of service and support. At ITCAB, we are naturally attentive and listen to our clients’ needs to ensure we can adequately advise them. For us, every client matters, regardless of the size or complexity of the project

What led you to choose Fluke Networks rather than other tool providers?

The need for reliable, precise measurement and certification tools, combined with first-rate maintenance and warranty services. We have been very satisfied with the way we’ve been advised and supported by Fluke Networks since our company was founded three years ago.

How does the time saving (10 days per technician on large projects) translate into broader business benefits, such as cost savings or taking on more projects?

Having tools that allow us to save time without compromising quality results in significant benefits for the company – greater commercial appeal, cost and time savings and advantages for our clients as well. This includes shorter intervention times (and therefore lower costs on invoices), reduced disruption in occupied or industrial environments and improved service continuity during specific operations.

Are there any limitations or areas where you would like to see Fluke Networks innovate in the future?

Fluke Networks products would be even more interesting for us if Fluke optimised the size and weight of the Versiv units. We would also like to see the integration of possible failure causes directly within the error type display during a test. This would allow users to have an immediate starting point for diagnosis.

Given the strict regulatory standards in network cabling, how do you ensure your teams stay up to date with compliance requirements?

At ITCAB, we are aware of the importance of compliance with current standards as well as those of the future. That’s why we decided to join the CCTT training programme. The training modules are extremely comprehensive. We strongly recommend this programme to anyone who wants to become a well-informed operator, customer or manager.

Have regulatory changes in France or the European Union influenced the types of projects you take on?

Regulatory changes have mainly helped us stay alert and proactive in our technical proposals to clients who seek performance while maintaining a sound technical and financial balance.

Being well advised, having the right and efficient equipment and ensuring ongoing training are, without a doubt, the key ingredients of a coherent and professional specialist company.
